The project involved the design and construction of a single dwelling within the rear garden of an existing house situated in Lincoln.

The siting of the new dwelling took account of the proximatey of existing [TPO] trees, protecting the privacy and amenity of existing neighbours and maintaining an appropriate relationship with the host building.

Careful consideration was given to landscape design in order to help the new building harmonise with the garden setting. The rectilinear form, low eaves, disposition of window openings together with simple detailing help characterise the new dwelling.
